Refund & Cancellation Policy

This Refund & Cancellation Policy applies to all donations made through the Lions Club of Ragama Legends website at https://lionsclubofragamalegends.lk. We are committed to transparency and fairness in all our financial dealings.
1. Nature of Donations
All contributions made through this Website are voluntary donations to support the charitable and community service activities of the Lions Club of Ragama Legends. Donations are not payments for goods or services and do not create a contractual obligation for the delivery of specific outcomes.
2. Online Donation Refunds
Since donations are made voluntarily to support charitable work, we generally do not offer refunds. However, refunds may be considered in the following exceptional circumstances:
• Duplicate Transactions: If your card or account was charged more than once for the same donation due to a technical error
• Incorrect Amount: If the amount processed differs from the amount you intended to donate due to a system error
• Unauthorised Transaction: If a donation was made from your account without your authorisation (subject to your bank's fraud investigation process)
• Technical Error: If a system malfunction resulted in an unintended donation
3. How to Request a Refund
To request a refund, please contact us within 30 days of the transaction date with the following information:
• Your full name as used during the donation
• Email address associated with the donation
• Transaction reference number or payment confirmation
• Date and amount of the donation
• Reason for the refund request

4. Refund Processing
Approved refunds will be processed as follows:
• Refund requests will be reviewed within 7 business days of receipt
• Approved refunds will be credited back to the original payment method (credit/debit card) used for the donation
• The refund may take 10–14 business days to appear on your statement, depending on your bank or card issuer
• Refunds will be processed in Sri Lankan Rupees (LKR), the original currency of the donation
5. Cancellation of Donations
Online donations processed through CyberSource are completed in real-time and cannot be cancelled once the transaction is authorised. If you wish to cancel a donation that has already been processed, please follow the refund request process described above.
6. Bank Transfer Donations
Donations made via direct bank transfer are processed directly by your bank. Once a bank transfer is completed, the funds are deposited into our account and cannot be reversed through our Website. To request a refund for a bank transfer donation, please contact us directly. We will process the refund via bank transfer to your designated account.
7. Non-Refundable Situations
Refunds will not be issued in the following cases:
• Change of mind after a voluntary donation has been successfully processed
• Donations made more than 30 days prior to the refund request
• Refund requests without sufficient transaction verification details
• Donations that have already been allocated to specific community projects
8. Disputes
If you believe there is an error with your donation or have a dispute, please contact us first before filing a chargeback with your bank. We are committed to resolving any issues quickly and amicably. Filing a chargeback without first contacting us may delay resolution.
9. Changes to This Policy
We reserve the right to update this Refund & Cancellation Policy at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
